September 02, 2026

Around 45 Indian technology companies and startups are participating in LEAP 2026 which is a leading technology and innovation event in the MENA region held every year in Riyadh. India’s participation at the Conference has grown steadily over the years, reflecting the increasing interest of Indian technology companies in the rapidly expanding Saudi market and the opportunities emerging under Saudi Vision 2030.

During their visit to Riyadh, participating Indian IT companies/Startups led by India Accelerator, called on H.E. Shri Vipul, Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and held a roundtable interaction at the Embassy of India in Riyadh on 31st August. The participants briefed the Ambassador about their technologies, business models and plans for exploring opportunities in the Kingdom. The Ambassador highlighted the growing potential for technology and innovation cooperation between India and Saudi Arabia and encouraged Indian startups to actively explore the opportunities emerging from Saudi Arabia’s economic diversification and digital transformation agenda.

India and Saudi Arabia share robust and expanding bilateral relations, with technology, IT and emerging technologies emerging as important areas of cooperation. There are strong complementarities between India’s capabilities and the requirements of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, while India’s Viksit Bharat 2047 vision also places strong emphasis on technology, innovation and a knowledge-driven economy. India is the world’s third-largest startup ecosystem, with over 2.3 lakh Government-recognized startups and more than 120 unicorns. Several leading Indian IT companies already have a strong presence in Saudi Arabia, and the growing participation of Indian startups in events such as LEAP reflects the deepening technology and innovation partnership between the two countries.
