As part of the community outreach, Ambassador of India Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan hosted a reception this evening at the India House in Riyadh for members of Indian community in Saudi Arabia. In the context of the prevailing situation in the region, the gathering carried special significance, offering a meaningful opportunity to interact and celebrate the enduring spirit of unity and togetherness. 

2. In his remarks, Ambassador Khan expressed sincere appreciation to the Indian community for the remarkable composure and resilience demonstrated throughout the current situation. Special note was made of the way community members have stood shoulder to shoulder with Saudi friends and brethren, reflecting a deep sense of mutual respect and cooperation.

3. Ambassador Khan also highlighted the various Embassy initiatives to provide uninterrupted support to the community. He underscored the importance of following the Embassy advisories issued from time to time. A 24-hour helpline has remained operational in the Embassy to ensure accessibility at all times. Consular services have been delivered efficiently without disruption, and consular camps have been organized even under challenging circumstances to extend assistance closer to where community members live and work. Ambassador also highlighted the efforts made in coordination with schools and parents to address concerns related to CBSE examinations. The JEE examinations were successfully held in the Kingdom recently. 

4. Ambassador emphasized that India has always stood firmly with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in support of its security, stability, and sovereignty. He reiterated strong condemnation of attacks against the Kingdom while emphasizing that India remains committed to promoting peace, dialogue, and stability in the region.

5. Ambassador Khan concluded by expressing heartfelt gratitude to community leaders and volunteers for their tireless support and cooperation, commending their instrumental role in supporting fellow community members. The Ambassador reiterated Embassy’s commitment to supporting the diaspora, assuring that all necessary assistance and services would remain readily accessible to the community members.
