1.     Hon'ble Minister of State (MOS) for External Affairs & Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Shri Kirti Vardhan Singh, undertook his first official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 05-08 September 2026 at the invitation of H.E. Eng. Ahmad bin Sulaiman Alrajhi, Hon'ble Minister of Human Resources and Social Development of Saudi Arabia. During the visit, he held high-level meetings with senior Saudi dignitaries and interacted with members of the Indian community, workers and business leaders in the Kingdom.

2.     Hon'ble MOS held wide-ranging discussions with H.E. Eng. Ahmad bin Sulaiman Alrajhi, Hon'ble Minister of Human Resources and Social Development on cooperation in the labour and manpower sector, matters related to skill development and the welfare of Indian workers in the Kingdom. He appreciated the labour market reforms undertaken by the Kingdom in recent years, and thanked the Saudi authorities for ensuring the well-being of the Indian workers in the Kingdom.

3.       In his meeting with H.E. Mr. Adel al-Jubeir, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Climate Affairs Envoy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, both sides discussed bilateral relations, regional and global issues of common concern as well as topics related to climate change.

4.     Hon'ble MOS also met H.E. Eng. Mansour bin Hilal Al Mushaiti, Vice Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Saudi side highlighted their initiatives in the field of environment protection and conservation including Saudi Green Initiative and Middle East Green Initiative. Hon'ble MOS also spoke about India's initiatives in the field of sustainability and environment protection. Both sides also discussed ways to further enhance cooperation in this field.

5.   The All-India Steering Committee, under the patronage of the Embassy, organized a community interaction with Hon'ble MOS. He appreciated community's invaluable contribution to strengthening India–Saudi Arabia ties. Separately, Hon’ble MOS had an enriching interaction with Indian businesspersons, entrepreneurs, investors, and professionals in Saudi Arabia, at a business luncheon organised by the Embassy. He laid emphasis on building business and technology networks between both countries. He also visited a labour camp of the Alfanar company in Riyadh and interacted with the Indian workers.
