Yoga classes at the Embassy of India

The Embassy of India in Riyadh announces the commencement of Yoga classes at the Embassy premises starting from January 22, 2021. The Yoga training, which includes Asanas (exercise), Pranayama (breathing techniques) and Relaxation techniques will be conducted by Ms. Soumya, a qualified and professionally trained Yoga instructor, as per the weekly schedule below.

2. No fee will be charged for the classes.

3. The classes are open to members of the Diplomatic Corps, Saudi Nationals, and Indian community members.

4. Due to the prevailing safety protocols, access to the classes will be restricted to 20 persons at a time. A WhatsApp group will be prepared of all those who register, and session wise participation will be on a first come first served basis. Participants are advised to bring their own Yoga mats.

5. The venue is the Multipurpose Hall of the Embassy of India, Riyadh in Diplomatic Quarter.

6. Those interested may fill the attached Registration Form and mail it to cul.riyadh@mea.gov.in by January 18, 2021.

About the trainer

Yogacharya Ms. Soumya is a distinguished Yoga trainer and has organised various Yoga related seminars and events in Saudi Arabia, and also led the annual International Day of Yoga celebrations organized by the Embassy. She holds a diploma and MS in Yoga Therapy from SVyasa University, Bangalore, India and is a trained Level III Yoga Teacher and Evaluator as per the Yoga Certification Board of the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.
